HARBOUR > WORKS

Artistic expression has always been a cornerstone of Jáchym’s life. His formal journey began with an eight-year immersion in drawing, painting, and graphics under the guidance of Vlastimil Elšík, later combined with professional training in reproduction graphics.

While his foundation is rooted in the precision of print and design, his heart lies in the organic process of creation. Whether he is capturing the depth of a human face in charcoal or carving a new character out of wood, his work is a search for form and soul. These visual elements often bleed into his other projects, becoming the aesthetic backbone of his musical and literary worlds.

TWO-DIMENSIONAL

This gallery showcases Jáchym’s mastery of line and shade. He specializes in portraiture, favoring the raw, expressive qualities of pencil and charcoal. Here, you will find a collection of drawings, paintings, and graphic designs that serve as the visual echoes of his imagination.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL

Jáchym’s path to woodcarving was opened by his sister, Táňa, leading him to the studio of sculptor Magdaléna Mézlová. What began as small-scale jewelry and stone carvings evolved into a deep-seated passion for marionettes. Inspired by the dark, whimsical worlds of Tim Burton, Jáchym carves his puppets and sews their intricate costumes, bringing a touch of the Corpse Bride aesthetic to his home workshop.

The Secret 5/10

“It is not so much about a need to create, but rather the awareness of having the opportunity to express myself. That is where my true freedom begins.”
