I wandered at the foot of the rainbow-colored mountains;
and there by the path, beneath an aspen leaf;
something was glistening.
Perhaps a glint of quartz,
or a drop of morning dew
caught in a wood sorrel leaf.
Something told me,
– don’t be so mundane. –
And behold,
a pair of stars there in the morning twilight
shone brightly and lit up the day.
Beneath an aspen leaf
two little suns had found refuge.
Immediately, my spirits lifted.
